    Default Final Word

A recent letter in the local Rag, I’ve never heard maybe the Scots have, ?

It appears I have been Hurkle-Durkling at every opportunity since the day I was born Hurkle- Durkling is,apparently a 200 year old Scottish term meaning to lounge in bed long after it’s time to get up. Happinesss to me is
Hurkle-Durkling every Saturday and Sunday morning !

Yes, something I took full advantage of John if my hubby was home! Breakfast in bed and then he would ferry the family to the usual Saturday morning ritual of Badmington, Hockey, Cross country, whatever was stipulated by school curriculum. It was his day for catching up with them. The beauty of it he said with a wink that when retiring in the evening the bed was still warm

Yes, You must always be viligant around the old dears John...thought that was given

Reminds me of the lovely emails I used to receive from Den [RIP] when referring to a Scottish lady near his coffee group of ex MN friends on a Monday afternoon, she was known as the Thistle!
