Reminds me of some of the rap UK beer I had earlier this year.
    Best not spoken of.

John Perhaps that was down to the bar keep and how he rotated his stock. Nothing wrong with a pint of Tetleys best bitter, or Guinness. Concerning Largers served Ice cold , all they do for me is make me run for a wee

I think John has been too long in OZ, most of their beer is lager or pale ale, i drink bitter, and while in Oz could not find a decent pint, cannot stand all that lager, never used to get much of that in Real British pubs years ago, and then the yuppy crowd went mad on lager, not for me. i enjoy a pint of Doombar bitter here.

Do they even make Mild anymore , Best beer I had in Aus was VB a nice drink. But when the bar keep pulls your pint glass out of a deep freeze before pulling a pint !!! what is all that about.

Thats my point really, describes as less malty, and lightly darker than traditional lagers, not proper bitter,

James, we keep the glasses cool so the beer remains cool when in the glass.
No one want warm beer, well some 'Poms' who com e here do just for a while.
VB is one of the best selling beers along with a couple of Tooyes such as the 'Dry' beer they sell.
Dry as it does not have that awful sugary taste as is the case with many EU beers.
But there are a few made to the old style recipes such as 'Cascade' from Tassie and 'Coopers ', god help us, from South Oz.
    Only sadist drink them.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I have had that Casscade beer quite enjoyed that.
Not sure what you mean by sugar taste :Ref EU beers yes those that will blow your head off with the Alcohol content 7%+, Strongest I have tasted I think was 12%.
Try drinking an ICE cold Beer/Larger in the UK when the temperatures have pluged into the minus figures not popular with anyone over the age of 10 here. Them um's drink Alco pops.
