    Merseyrail have cancelled services due to the weather!!! come on behave, about 40% of merseyrail is underground from Hamilton Station Birkenhead to Liverpool and on the loop back again.

    Ah!! but John you forget when the Leaves get on the track it can cause delays due to loss of traction and also wasps get into the signal boxes and nest.

    Hard to believe the Liverpool to Manchester railway was one of the first built in 1830 and I think the track is still in use today.
    Hard to believe the Japanese bullet train has been going for over 50 years now, and we are still pussy footing about the HS2. The HS2 was to be built to reduce journey times from Manchester to London by a staggering 15 minutes? Thing is the cost is has now doubled. £33 billion and now £71 billion
