Spent week in Toxteth with a shipmate just after the riots had a great week, even though the cops were walking about in fours all carrying very large night sticks about the size of baseball bats. Favourite pubs were the Gladray Club in Upper Parliament Street and the Philharmonic (the pub with the fancy Victorian toilets) in those days you could drink almost around the clock as there was always some place open either legally or illegally.

The Glad ray, Now that was a boozer alright, And did you notice with being in the South end of the City Black and White all stood side by side never had a problem in my life around the town with any nationality And you would have witnessed first hand the deprivation that caused hem riots. I see Tony Blaire has just been honoured by the queen, Sir Tony was appointed a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, the oldest and most senior British Order of Chivalry.

Unlike many other honours, the appointments to this order do not have to be approved by the Prime Minister or Parliament.

I think her majesty has just given Parliament and the Tories the Royal Finger. Terry.

The only Garter he should get is one around his neck and tied very tight.

But from experience all the Scousers I ever met were good lads.
Most had a bit of larakin in them and a good time was always the first thing they thought of.
But always fun to be around, and sure to back you up in a tough situation.

#12 That is the worrying part Terry. You are quite correct in what you say, and is the same as what I said earlier. The Lady is 95 years of age I believe, she will no doubt have many advisors in most of her deliberations, lets hope she has the right ones. JS
