#77. Graham I honestly have never heard of it. I finished with certificates as such in very late 63, in fact the last exam of the year . The only texts books apart from Nories tables and Nichols Concise guide were the 5/- paper back editions on various subjects. The only sextant I ever owned was an ex wartime RN vernier sextant , Still in mothballs and grease proof paper out of the naval stores costing 12 pounds. We were rag tag sailors trying to improve ourselves on dole money and our 30 pounds bonus for completing 4 years cheap labour for the owner. And with a brand new certificate threw all the few books we owned into the bin and stepped onto the world stage to make our fortune. What a laugh ! It was more like lambs to the slaughter , just joking of course . Cheers JS

Going back to - Re: Observations on France.

If there are three words you need in France they are "Oh là là"

French women are not born more attractive than anyone else. They simply learn at a very young age how to feel beautiful.
