I think I missed two days, thought Brian was changing operators, at least that is what I told John S in an email, I must have been wrong, I think it was an attempted take over by Trump, he's jealous of the number of people using the site LoL.

Re: Connecting to site
When you remember years ago Des when commercial tv was in its infancy and advertising reared its ugly head, who would of thought it would have reached the extremes it has to take away most of the enjoyment of a decent show. I make the best of a bad job and use these breaks to go and make a cup of tea and something to eat or toilet breaks. Late night commercial breaks are the worse anything up to 15 adverts every 10 or at the most 15 minutes , is beyond a joke and they are killing the goose that laid the golden egg. One can’t spend all one’s life in the toilet. Better just to switch off. If they ever brought in tv licensing I think the land fill areas would be full to over flowing. Even the pollies now use the tv to try and sell their wares . It used to have a name brainwashing. Cheers JS

Re: Connecting to site
Hi John.
With appolages to people who like tennis, but come on, a full month of two people knocking a tennis ball back and forth over a net, on TV for 14 hours a day, tantrums included, and then two hours of talk back by people who should get a proper job. Why don't they have a defecated sports channel, News channel, comedy or story channel. it would make watching TV much better.

Re: Connecting to site
Well the ABC has a news channel, 24 on my set. The American shows too much music drowning out what the actors are saying, have remarked on this before. Actually the best shows in my opinion to watch are the old British ones, and would be even better if they cut back on the advertising every 10 minutes or so. Ideally they should put such on all at one go say for half an hour for those who like watching such crap , then run the show without breaks all the time ? But they know then they would not have a captive audience with minds to play with. JS

Re: Connecting to site
Apart from news or a good UK program we watch very little free to air.
We have 'Britbox' which shows some fairly good Uk shows.
Also on out TCL TV we have Tubi, a program of all manner of shows, some true stories from all around the globe.
Some add but nothing like free to air.
I have come to the conclusion that they are advertising shows with program breaks in them.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Connecting to site
I have freesat TV and I think there are 100+ channels. I use a lot of BBC Iplayer, best, ITVX also good but ads, Channel4 , My 5.
But many many more.
I also have an Amazon Fire stick so can get regional Live TV.
IPlayer is great when there is a programme clash so or when programmes are on to late. I can watch them next day or so.
