    Default The Bees.

Did you know……The first coins that the world produced had a Bee symbol on
    That honey contains, live Enzymes.
That contact with a metal spoon causes these enzymes to
Die . Best way is to eat with a wooden or plastic spoon .
That honey contains a substance that helps the brain work
    Better.
That honey is one of the few foods that can sustain life.
That bees saved people from starvation in Africa.
A spoonful of honey is enough to keep a man alive for 24 hrs
That Propolis produced by bees is one of the most powerful
    Anti- Biotics
    Honey has no expiry date.
The bodies of the worlds greatest emperors were buried in
Gold Coffins, then covered in Honey to prevent
    putrefaction.
Honeymoon comes from the fact that the Bride and Groom
Consume honey for fertility after marriage.
A Bee lives less than 40 days, visits at least 1000 flowers.
and for that produces less than a teaspoon of honey , but
For her it is the work of a lifetime. Thank you precious
    Bees.

Lately I have had a touch of Bronchitis and my wife insists I take a spoon full of Honey before bed, it's good for it; as I am now not keeping her awake with coughing, but she doesn't like the way I buzz. Seriously though it helps immensely, it also makes you sleep better.
Unfortunately a bee decease that arrived in Aus on a ship in Newcastle has devastated the bees something we can't do without.

Without Bees there is a chance many would die from starvation.
Most people do not think about the work done in pollination of other plants as the bee goes from one to another.
Honey produced by them is used in so many parts of life much of which we never think of such as in medicine.

Love Honey, and have it all the time .
We had about 40 Hives on the Farm in DeDeur "Apple Orchards" was the Farms name . My Dad taught me and my late Brother how to take out the Cone Trays and then we took them to the House , where we had a large Extractor.
This was hand driven, so we worked pretty long hours doing this to Bottle the Honey!
Loved it though. Dad won First Prize three Years running at the Rand Easter Show for his Honey! He was so Proud!
    Cheers

Looks like the mite that is killing the bees in Australia are going to get their own way, it has now been decided to see what comes, by letting nature take its course. Maybe bees can develop some sort of immune system. We have plenty of wild bees on our developing fruit and flowering shrubs, much smaller than the standard bee and so far we haven't been stung by them.

I have a number of fruit trees in my back garden.
The bees have been going mad the last few weeks, not sure what kind but the noise is much louder than I ever recall before
