Default Has anyone tried Afrezza before?

My type 1 son is considering going off of his Medtronic pump and changing to Afrezza, the inhaled insulin. Has anyone tried afrezza before? Thoughts?

Trevor, as we all well know all seamen know about medicines.
Penicillin was one of the most well known along with Blue Unction.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

'Thoughts'........Yip sure do! I find it incredulous that the very FIRST post from a 36yr old mother would be to approach a British Merchant Navy site re medication which has not yet been approved for a child under 18 either here in the UK or Europe! Responsible parents would first approach their GP no? Reading the link provided kindly by Vernon looks like you'll need to move to Australia/NZ pet.....

Apart from over the counter medicines, medicines are issued by medical practioners on an individual's circumstances, these include age, weight, height, BMI, and previous and existing medical conditions. It is highly irresponsible to seek medical advice from those not qualified to give it. Approaching a pharmacist may be an appropriate port of call if you are not satisfied with what your medical practioner has prescribed. He would then discuss your fears and discuss alternatives that you could relay to your medical practioner. To follow any other course is in MHO highly irresponsible and may cause the patient untold harm.
