Dennis.
I had a well which supplied my house with water when I lived in Connecticut. You still have to have it checked mate. It may not have florides etc., but if you have a dog, of any animal that poops in the yard, when it rains, guess what leaches down to your drinking water. In my case it came from the deer and and other animals, plus every dog neighbors had in and around the village of Weston. it was mandated that each house had a minimum of two acres of land and there were no fences and lots of forests, no hunting, so deer etc. were in big supply. I have filters for normal water use and bottled water for drinking. And filtered my well water back east, once I found out.
Cheers, Rodney

My brother, Jim, died a couple of years ago with dementia.
He was a Seaman and then later a Miner.
He went into a care home when he started with it
Dementia affects the part of the brain that control appetite and the patient stops eating and actually starves to death.
Jim was a big strong man, bigger than me, he was just a skeleton when he passed away

Not that long out of hospital,
they continually checked my
water intake.

When living in UK the kettle would always end up with 'fur' in it which had to be chopped out.
It was hard stuff and who knows what it was made up of.
Here in Oz no such problem.
Our water in the cities comes from dams and is mainly from rain water.
It is treated and Fluoride is added, good flor the teeth, not in my case, and the water here in Melbourne has been declared the best in Oz.
But on cruise ships, and most others, kit is all desalinated water, but most of us are well used to that.
Worst water I ever had came from Greece, we took water on there on the Paparoa, had to as we had runout crossing the Indian Ocean.
Not sure where it came from but no one could drink it fresh.
But I am a big water drinker, from the time I wake at about 0600 hours until after breakfast, about 0800 hours I will have consumed about 1.5 to 2 liters of the stuff.
Have a couple of top up during the day an d no I am not a diabetic.
Now I know why I prefer Oz beer to UK stuff.
On the Island our water is very hard, kettle needs regular cleaning, when i visit my son in Suffolk his water is very soft, and he has the filter fitted, i notice the difference after washing my hair, yes , i still do have hair even if a little thin on top, still got most of my teeth as well !!, other bits showing the strain of 80 years, lol kt
