    Victoria, great news.
Events such as this can have a very negative effect on some, my wife took it worse then I did.
I told here it is here, no good crying about it lets just get it fixed.
You must have a positive attitude to it, not easy for some.
But tell your son there is nothing to fear, modern day surgery works very well, not so keen on the anesthetic though, bottle of brandy was much nicer.

    Hi Victoria.
I celebrate with you on your good news, when he gets his life back to normal he will be a new man having been through the experience.
    Good luck to him.

Sorry to hear about your son. Victoria, but delighted to hear that it was caught in good time and he's going to be fine.

My husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer when he was 49. During surgery it was found to have metastasised to his liver and other pelvic organs so he was given no follow up treatment like radiation or chemotherapy but told to put his affairs in order and be prepared to die before he was 50. Well, instead of doing what he was supposed to, like getting sicker and sicker, he got better and better and lived for another 29 years. He always was a contrary bugger, thank goodness.

he will be fine i had a new type of treatment called sabre very high doses of radium it was the only thing i could have opp was out of the question for me the side effect it did a lot of damage to things inside feeding is now a problem but knowing it stopped the cancer growing is enough for me and never gets me down. the cancer treatment of today is far more advanced and now he is on the radar his treatment is for a long time yet but keep positive he does what he is told he should be ok he will be in pain for the next 5 days then on the mend give him my best though there is life after cancer i am in my 7 th year now after cancer and will be here for a lot more?jp
