No need to apologise Michael, you were not to know, and the last thing Wendy and I would want, is for humour to disappear, so keep it up, I put my foot in my mouth by mentioning it, but thankfully this is perhaps the only site where-in we can say what we think, knowing that nearly all, if not all, will not take offence. You never know, it could be my cooking, certainly not the drink, as neither of us has had a drink since March 2020, can't say we've missed it!, but my acquire the taste again when we get back dancing again and in my mind I'm Gene Kelly, or as Wendy would say more like bean jelly!

Re: Covid Vacs
hi ivan cloherty.
free speech is sometimes not liking what a person says, but giving them the freedom to say it.
well i cannot blame the drink as this is the fourth year i have abstained, in previous years i have abstained for four years and three years, it is therefore obvious to me that i must start drinking again, as during those years of abstinence, i always seemed to fall foul.

Re: Covid Vacs
Hi Vernon.
I think the no shortage has come about with older people worrying about the AZ vaccine. The oldies can have it said Morrison, but we need the younger people for the labour force, can't have them dropping off the perch, at least that is the way I read Morrison, as he scrambles to contain his stuff up.

Re: Covid Vacs
Spoke with my GP today as we had the Flu vaccine.
Des the stuff up has nothing to do with the Federal gov all states run their own medical system.
He informed me that the AMA did not want hubs set up, they wanted to do it all by them only, money again as they get paid for each.
Here in Victoria the Labor state gov has been restricting the release of the Vaccine which is being made here in Vic not 20 klm from where we live.
It is estimated there are some 5 million doses sitting there waiting for delivery.
L. Fox the nations largest distribution company offered to do all deliveries for free but were knocked back by our gov.
But the latest today is from our premier, three hubs have been set up and anyone over 50 can now go and get the vaccine.
The Pfizer which is in short supply due to restrictions placed by EU will only be for under 50.
According to an English specialist brought in to oversee the role out this is the best way to go.
So Des you can get your shot as soon as you are ready mate.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Covid Vacs
With all this talk of a very small number of I vacinnated people suffering blood clots, the fact is that women taking the birth control pill are at the same, or greater, risk of suffering blood clots, yet no one is shouting about that.
