Let's hope that that the Astra vaccine offers protection against the South African variant especially after the news that 25 cases have been found in a nursing home this week, now how the hell did that happen??

Lewis, the problems here in Oz are all state related, the federal gov gives the order for Vaccination to begin but each state has to give the various gP and hubs a permit to work.
These have been held back by some states playing politics.

No J&J as it also causes problems and has been stopped by USA for this reason.

WE had some 4.5 mil on order from EU who then blocked shipment even though paid for. Belgium the supplier is talking of suing EU for breach of contract.

Now our federal gov will be having two meetings a week with state premiers to ensure the roll out continues.
All over 50 can have the AZ, only Pfizer for the under 50.

AS to a case being found in a local home, the local Nunnery was told there was a case of Gonerea in it, one Nun said thank goodness for that we are fed up with chardonay.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Every morning we get two corespondents on the radio, one USA the other UK.

The UK guy told us this morning that about 35% of those who died with the Virus actually died from other problems, the chief coroner has called for a recount of all deaths over the last year or so.
It was brought about by one man.
He had the virus but not bad enough to be in hospital, recovered and had the jab.

A few weeks later he was knocked down by a bus, taken to hospital where he passed.
The death certificate said, died from complications of the virus???????????????

Another phone call last night, can you come for your 2nd vaccine next Wednesday, what time would you like? 0900 or a bit later ? 0900 is fine. Ah!!! we don't actually start vaccinations until 0930, can you make it for then . Yes 0930 will be fine. Not knocking it why shoot the messenger, so much for the 12 week wait though, 10 weeks since my first one happy days and well done the NHS. Now where did I put President Macrons email address.

Dear Mr President, if you require any advice on how to roll out a Covid Vaccine programme please contact the UK government minister Nadhim Zahawi I am sure he would be happy to give you a few pointers.
PS: best avoid dodgy Dave or any of his business contacts.

Got my second last Friday after ten weeks, I had a choice from 07.30hrs, booked for 07.40, got there with 5 minutes to spare, was 5th in Q in and out by 07.43 hrs.
No complaints, no hassle, no after effects.
My local med ctr. is very well organised.

Hello Victoria . Re #50. Both my friend in Holland and my cousin in Ireland have smart phones and are tech-aware. It's the l o n g s l o w rollout of the vaccines that are causing the problems As I said in my post, ' It's a disgrace.' It's also a disgrace that the hoop-la about blood clots have caused the poorer countries to withdraw from the offer of a cheap vaccine. Pfizer have just increased their prices by 50% 50 % !!!!! No altruism and goodwill to humanity from that Company.

The Olympic Authority in Aus has called on the Govt to vaccinate all the athletes going to Japan, this is over the top of all the elderly who are in the greatest danger of the covid, This after our PM said he would open mass vaccination clinics, don't know what for we haven't any vaccines, after trumpeting last year about buying millions of doses, we find out he didn't. He is now talking about opening up Australia and allowing business people to travel overseas and then Isolate at home.

Des, not sure about NSW but here in Victoria where the bloody AZ is being manufactured the state gov has put a stop to it being used for two weeks saying the doctors and nurses need more practice on how to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roll out is one problem the other are the GHP's, they do not want hubs for mass vaccination saying they ae better suited to do it?????????????

But the Army will now take over distribution of all Vaccines, if they cannot do it then we are all cactus.
