As for the RNLI the volunteers in Devon and Cornwall have always been the fall guys for the penpushers in Poole, the RNLI HO in Poole carpark is like a luxury car showroom. Two guys (volunteers for years) down here got the sack because they had nude women on their mugs, which they'd left in the public part of the boat house.

Re: Covid Vacs
There is of course much more disruption to the EU in the future, they are the only ones doing border checks at the moment, we decided not to do import checks from the EU for six months, and were due to start this month, but that is to be extended to January 2022, so the import of fresh food stuff will begin to be felt from the EU side, with the introduction of paperworks and checks, and the inevitable delays, that our traders are experiencing. kt

Re: Covid Vacs
The weakness of the EU in terms of security is there to be seen by Putin, he does not need a second chance to exploit the situation, you only have to see how quickly he exploited the situation in Syria, while the Yanks and us dithered on action, he moved in. Of course that will leave him with options for military bases and harbours in the future. At what point will Putin have to be faced up, we can only wait and see, but in my opinion it will have to be done, kt

Re: Covid Vacs
Ivan, it is Capitalism and greed that has financed China & Russia for years no point in bitching about it now. Best cosy up to Biden & the USA as they may not bother about bringing onboard their little aircraft carrier this time round. But eh!!! don't worry have the RN not dispatched Big Lizzie as she is now being referred to, to the Far East?

The Chinese must be ****-ing themselves.big Lizzie.jpg
Concerning the RNLI, Ivan , I have nothing but admiration for the crews and the those who assist on launching the boats, as you mention those in Poole at HQ well they are a different kettle of fish. I can relay some stories about what goes on within the RNLI.

hi ivan cloherty #44
good afternoon, your correct in pointing out that the situation on the ukraine border with russia is a tinder box,
but without the expansionists running the europian union, together with american policy in europe and the uk backing, then there would not be reason for putin to stake his claim.
tom
as for the RNLI i did read of the two guys loosing their jobs because of having their tea mugs displaying the beautiful form of the female body,
sadly the political liberal left are rooted into every part of society, and whilst they want the plebs to carry out their commands for the new order that they want, they do not consider themselves needing the same constraints, and they always believe they should be paid top dollar,
BLM is another left wing marxist group with the same ilk and agenda, and just like all socialists, they dont mind skimming off the top, as a matter of fact the two lesbians whom thought up the whole money making scheme have now got to answer how they where able to purchase numerous properties in califonia, and where did the ninety plus million dollars collected for BLM has gone to.

Re: Covid Vacs
#45 I think Putin will just bang the drum a bit. He has enough of problems at home. Yes he may safely go into the Ukraine and the west will do bugger all about it. A possible problem could be if he decides to make a move into a former soviet state that is now a member of the EU.
He keeps changing how long he can remain in power!! someone on the news pointed out he has to stay in power until he dies as he knows he is looking at going to jail. I suppose if he does do what a lot of Russian Oligarchs have done and opens a bank account with Coutts bank or Lloyds and drops a few quid around Westminster he will be made very welcome. With luck he could buy Liverpool football club,

Re: Covid Vacs
Vaccinations in Holland. 2.8 million from population of 18 m
Ireland 745,363 pop. nearly 5 million
My friend in Holland and cousin in Ireland - both over 75 - are still waiting. It's a disgrace. Politicians having little regard for lives while they argue and posture and dream up reasons why they are refusing the vaccines

Re: Covid Vacs
It would be interesting to see how many of the EU commissioners have shares in Pfizer !!!!
Pfizer have increased the price by 60% this equates to €7.50 increase, not a bad pay day especially seeing as the EU have just ordered 900million shots.

Re: Covid Vacs
Interesting, the Pfizer jab is not as efficient as claimed, the South African variation can break through the Pfizer defence.
