Default They think it's all over...

The UK's recent 'road map' rolled out by Boris the (not so)Bold, suggests a gradual route out of the present nightmare we are all experiencing. I've noticed a lot more people out and about and a distinct lack of distancing at times. Seems there are some who may see more light at the end of the tunnel than others. We're told this route is irreversible, the final furlong (barring data shifts- I would call them U turns), so it seems Salvation is in sight. But spare a thought for those that the release from confinement can be traumatic after being confined for up to a year, mainly those living alone or with emotional issues. Some may even have developed a sort of 'covid Stockholm Syndrome. Most on here would be ok with involuntary solitude for long stretches, some are not going to come out of this too well.
So let's stay aware, look forward to a better time but as Oliver Cromwell told his men on the eve of battle, Keep your powder dry.

Here in Oz we have had several 'Road maps', one from each state.
All states are doing well apart from us here in Victoria.
Our gov must be the most incompetent in the world, but like many in UK about 60% of the population suffer with Stockholm Syndrome.

Our road map out saw not one but four lock downs the longest being 12 weeks and the last five days.
But the last came from the same mistakes as the 12 week one.

We have begun Vaccinations, UK is doing very well with about 35% so far, but even with ours now starting our premier has said he expects more lock downs in Victoria.

So do not be fooled by talk of road maps, it appears most of the politicians do not own a compass so the chance of finding the correct road is slim.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
