I use two eye guys, one last year only tells me, 'read the card' then decides if my glasses need an update.
Today the eye specialist, professor what's his name cos I forgot.

Take your temperature and say sit and wait.

Called up by a very nice looking Asian lady, sadly she tells me her partner has a Genetic form of Cancer.
So we begin in one room.
Read the card, then looks into my eyes, just like her in doors did al those years ago.

Then into a second room and drops in the eyes.

Another machine to look into them again along with a second lot of drops.

All done just go down the corridor and the professor will see you.
I need a white stick now, those drops cannot see a bloody thing.

Get called in and firstly he tells me about his new electric car he has bought, gets to know you before he begins.

More looking into the eyes before he tells me 'no change in the last two years, you must be doing something right, how is you general health'?
Do not know a General Health but my dad was a Captain in the Army!!

Good he tells me you eat a lot of green vegetables, very good for the eyes, keep it up. Presumes he means the diet.

    Outside to see the receptionist.
'Do you require my Medicare Card or Concession one'?
'No sir just your credit card'

Have a nice day, see you in two years.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

John Had my second eye done last Thursday. When I say to the Surgeon or anyone who wants to know, I have waited over 3 years to have done, there is no response. However there is no doubt in my mind if I had your credit card they would have all been done and dusted 2 years 11 months and 6 days ago. Cheers JS

Well John it cost $180 all up and got some $76 back from Medicare.
Wife had both her cataracts done, no cost at all through Medicare.

When i eventually get my turn the actual Op will be Totally free, however up to now the Visits for Tests measuring etc have cost me some $ 480 already of which i did get back some through Medicare. So for now i think that it will be all untill i get in for Op.
    Cheers

Costing $6.50 a pop for each Eye Drop Script as well, on my second bottle now, that is for the Glaucoma Treatment, which i hope will help.

Similar for my friends wife I think.
I go every year, one year to the local optometrist the other to a specialist.
Saw him last month and no change since last time two years ago, must be because I no longer peep through key holes. LOL

My Eye Drops are for my Glaucoma, apparently relieves the pressure on the Eye helping the Glaucoma to slow down. Only one Drop in each Eye daily.
    Lets hope it works!!!!
