I also suffer from macular degeneration (the dry type) which I have to take 3 different types of drops twice a day. My right eye has hardly any sight left and I am not allowed to drive any more. Came as a bit of a shock at first but lets face it- worse things happen at sea, as we all know. Also have Glaucoma.

Man goes to the optician for an eye test.
The optician asks him what he can see.
“ I see empty airports , empty football grounds, closed theatres and closed pubs”.
That’s perfect says the optician you”ve got 20/20 vision.

Well Lads its happening at last!
Got a Phone call from the Hospital about my Eye Procedure, and is now Booked for the 9th March at Lithgow Hospital.
Oh boy i am so glad and relieved, as things were starting to get a bit blurry.
This was however in response to a letter i wrote to them about a Week ago, asking what is happening and where i stand in the Line.
So it helps to push a bit at times. But the Lady Karen was very nice and has fixed it all up now, so not too long to go!
I am one very Happy Chappy!
    Cheers

If you keep it in the shed, about time you took it out and started wearing it!

I was prescribe long distance glasses for driving.
Had them made as 'Sunnies' and wear them all the time out side as well as when driving.
Vision in doors is better and the optician told me wearing those 'sunnies' rests the muscles around the eyes.

    Thanks Victoria
I do wear Driving Glasses both long and short distance as they are Multi Focal. I also have three sets of Sunnies all that fit over my Normal Glasses so should be OK there. Yes i guess things will look brighter on all angles after this has been done,

I had no such luck Victoria, there were two young nurses watching the op, when the Specialist stuck the needle into my eye at the end they didn't even flinch, but I bloody did.
