Re: Old Codgers
I have been on lock down for the last couple of years since my Val went down the Dementia path and needs constant watching to make sure she doesn't do anything to harm herself,I think being at sea has helped because I look on it being a long trip with not much shore leave or as Chris says being anchored for long periods especially with Kuwait shipping could be months up the gulf before getting a berth. So sorry to say I joined the panic buying I got 2 bottles of rum instead of the usual 1 this week. Rgds Den

Re: Old Codgers
What happens if we go out everyday when we are told to stay inside?/
do they lock us up in gaol??
They would have to feed us, and importantly provide Toilet rolls,
We cannot lose.

The armed forces here are preparing to send thousands of military medics to assist in NHS hospitals in the coming weeks as part of Operation Broadshare – the Ministry of Defence’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Re: Old Codgers
If one was to take time out to think about it a bit more clearly, the ones who are taking the most risks as such are the staff in shops and stores, lets hope. They don’t get caught up in the panic surge. Australia being Australia they may hold out for more money, especially after being swindled by some of the big National Company’s, what goes around comes around. JS

Only $20,000 here in Vic, but there are some very uneducated out there.
On TV last night a medical officer who should know better said NSW will have 1.5 million contract the disease.
Quite amazing as the total number globally is now where near that.

Correct Victoria, for years I worshiped the ground she was going under LOL.
But on a more serious note, are there any other kinds when it comes to them, she was fantastic.
9 kids, 7 boys,2 girls and never once did she ever question or comment about their choice of partner.
We al loved her in a very special way.
96 when she fell off the perch and was a widow for longer than married but never complained.

Re: Old Codgers
Well, just picked my wife up from the Royal South Hants, one of the last patients to have the non emergency operation, and we are in Jury's Inn until my son takes us by car back to the IOW, the hospital is fantastic, and I take my hat off to all the staff. They are not taking any more patients other than emergencies , they have sent all the surgeons off duty to rest before the expected onslaught. My only concern now is the next two nights in Jury's Inn, als very good, that no other guest goes down with virus, and we would be ala cruise liner, in lockdown for 12 weeks. Very sad to read of the amount of Morons we have in the country with panic buying, if Hitler was coming now, he would have walked in with this feeble minded idiots only concerned for themselves, now, feel better for saying it, kt
