Tomorrow is my visit to the Hospital to check my Cataract.
    I am quite nervous already.

No need for nerves Mike - totally painless and not too obtrusive - the waiting in the waiting room is more of a nuisance. It will be all worthwhile believe me, the difference in sight after the operation is amazing. Good luck, all will be well these surgeons are brilliant and very skillfull and the sooner its done the better.

Trusting all is as it should be, Mike. If you are going to have inter ocular implants to replace the foggy ones, I had mine done many years ago and to this day I do not wear spectacles for driving my car.
I was very nervous too, but the operation itself was for me without pain during or afterwards.

Best of luck Mike, i am just about to enter the affray of cataract operation and waiting times etc. 2 weeks ago i went for my annual eye test, and told to refrain from driving as i do not meet the reading of a number plate at 20 metres, if i carry on driving and stopped by plod, they will stop my licence, so best i wait for the cataract op, at my age 79 if they took my licence i might not get it back. I have been exploring the cost of having it done privately , its £2000, so i might go down that route, its just £2000 the kids don't get when the big man above calls, kt

I had three cancellations before the op took place but, well worth waiting for.

    Best of luck Mike.

Likewise with me .Cancellations due to Heart Attack ,and other issues with the Eye Specialist, but am Booked for Initial once again for Next Month 17th March.
Then its wait again until i can get the actual Op done ,hopefully not to long.
Both Eyes as well, not nervous just the waiting as said.
Best of Luck Mike i know all will go well,as these days seems that this type of Op is so common and they have really mastered it all
    Cheers

I don't know how many of you will have seen the pictures of the Coronavirus quarantine accommodation at Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral. Two blocks of staff accommodation flats. On the right of some of the pictures published of them in the national press and TV, just seperated from them by a narrow single lane service road is a red / brown bricked building which is part of the main hospital. It is in fact the eye clinic where I went for my operations and examinations and to where I have to revisit in May for a post operative / checkup. I sincerely hope that things will have improved with regard to the Coronavirus before I have to go there. ' Ce la Vie '

One thing I was asked prior, was if I wanted the long or short main sight,
I went for long mainly for driving but, now rarely need glasses at all apart
    from very, very small print.
