How dramatically lifespans and aged well being has changed as medical science has advanced. I have at least 20 more years than I would have had with an earlier DOB. Thanks to all you brilliant researchers.
Richard
Her indoors had both eyes done a few years ago.
First one privately but with the Medicare rebate only cost a $100 or so.
Second one done by the same guy in a public day hospital, cost nix.
Our Medicare can be so good, she also had a knee part replacesment on the same system.
Something to think about, the more birthdays you have the longer you will live.
Hi Mike, Best of luck for tomorrow, all will be well, and look forward to hearing your thoughts afterwards, regards KT
After 13 months my sight was restored instantly,
I do hope that Mike has the same success.
Cheers,
Keith.
Mike, looking forward to a big WHOOPIE from you.

Richard, after my recent Angiogram the heart specialist told me there was no reason, apart from here indoors, why I could not live to be 100.
Medical science is great, but the gov is not happy as they have to pay pensions for longer.

Crikey, John, I don't know about you, but in another eleven years I reckon I would probably be a cranky old begger

My circumstance were a bit different and rather than the eye being covered patch,
I faced an over night stay until, the consultant decided I could have a clear plastic
cover and be released. Hence, I had sight immediately, I do hope that by now / soon
Mike will be seeing clearly.
Regards, Keith.
Been a few days now since Mike had his little Eye op,have not seen him back as yet so may be still a bit tender and he prefers to rest it more! Good idea
Hope all went well as i think it did and that he will soon be back on baord.
Just a question to those others that have had it and please no prank remarks i would like a straight answer.
I am due for my initial Eye Check on the 11th of this Month where they do all the measuring etc and instill drops in your Eyes so the Pupil is dilated.
Question Will i be able to drive myself home from the Hospital after a while waiting for the drops to wear off and about how long does it normally take for these drops to wear off and the Pupil to revert to normal
Cheers
