    keith my quack says they will have to shoot you john had my heart sorted in December got more pipes put in than is under our sink they try to explain what went on but I just drop a one liner on them I will go when I want to every day is a good one people enjoy life. jp

    don't take any ivan you will be UP ALL NIGHT mate all clear one more visit in 6 months plus a scan that's me and cancer free still short of breath but better than a wooden overcoat? jp

    All good news John, my youngest lad has just had the all clear for 6 months, after having aesophcal (spelling) cancer, he's just had 5oth birthday, so all the best, and keep on going, regards kt

    after 4 years the nurse in with the consultant remembered me when I was on the ward she remembered the laughs we had and asked barb how she ever put up with me in the waiting room the sister out of the high dependency unit came over and said are you john? yes I said I remember you coming out of a coma and we were all laughing after a few minutes now this was 4 years ago how many have passed through the ward in that time I still ring the ward every year to wish them happy Christmas and thank them for pulling me out of the sh.t good old NHS I ASKED HER DID SHE WANT TO GIVE ME A BED BATH BEFORE I LEFT don't ever change john she said? jp

    john, I sympathise with you and have similar issues as I suffer from bronchiectasis which makes me prone to infections in lungs. i have a typical smokers cough even though I never smoked.
    A few years ago someone recommended Manuka honey for the cough which at times was horrendous and couldnt control or suppress it, I was a total sceptic but being desperate I tried it and the cough subsided significantly after three days of a teaspoon full twice a day. Still being sceptical, when the jar ran out I stopped taking any and within three days the cough was back.
    So I am back on it, its a bit pricey but wtf, if it helps I will pay.
    Try Manuka Doctor web site and start with a mid level strength, then you can increase or decrease strength as you monitor results. Good luck mate!
