The Doctors Receptionists just palm you off - they did me with my bad cough - told me I would have to wait ten days - we have an NHS Walk-in Centre near us so I went there. They examined me and sent me straight to Hospital where I was examined and given Antibiotics straight away - the Hospital doctor told me that I was close to it turning into pneumonia - his words were ' don't take chances at my age ' in my 70s. I have no time whatsoever for GP's receptionists - they don't care about you - fobbed me off when I had a DVT in my leg, went to the NHS Walk-in Centre who went mad and straight way gave me treatment - when my wife was badly ill earlier this year, they fobbed her off with a two week waiting time - I lost my temper and finally, after a big row on the phone managed to get her an appointment in two days. When seen by the Doctor she was told that she was badly ill and was offered hospital but she could also be treated at home, she chose home and thankfully recovered OK. Don't take NO for an answer Mike.

Mike, that is very bad news.

Why not go down to the surgery and stay until they get fed up with you and allow you to see some one.
Failing that the local emergency section of your nearest hospital.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
