Bill I think Spanish and Asian are flu's of the past I suppose the one we get covers all flu's.Was it the Asian flu in 57 ? I was bellboy on the Empress Of Britain all hands were going down with it I ended up having to wait on a couple of tables. It got me in the end I was in the ships hospital whilst in Montreal with another bell boy.
I think the rule was starve the flu,we must've been getting better we were starving so we would sneak down to our cabin get dressed and go across to MA the Greeks café for hamburgers.
    Regards.

    Jim
Don't know if you recall a post was put on for me a few Weeks ago when I got hit really bad by the Flu here.
I was down for 13 straight days in Bed could not get up at all ,it was terrible, lost a lot of weight and after the thirteen days it too yet another 2 weeks for me to actually get going!
Woest Flu I have ever had in my Life, and at one stage mate really thought that was it for me! The Family were very very worried!
I have never had a Flu jab ,but think from next Year I will start as the Doctor said at my age it is highly advisable.
    Cheers
