Re: The NHS
Hi Jim
They will be coming to a street near you soon.
Here in Boltonistan it is like living in a Foreign land. If I go to town to the bank all I ever hear across town is the language of the Khyber and eastern European languages, never hear any English spoken at all. I only go in town once a month now, cannot stand it.
I am a minority in my home town. and in my avenue.
Across the road from me is a rental house, it has 19 people in there from Rumania. 9 men 5 women and 5 kids, I have seen the Ambulance go there five times now in the last few months. Don't know why, They do not speak English, They throw their garbage out into the street, they have no wheelie bins.
I am out there nearly every day shouting abuse at them, just a load of Pigs. they also have six cars.
All the rest, except for four families of us who are English, are all moo, slim. It used to be a smart avenue of good people, nice well kept gardens, Now the immigrants have turned it into a slum. They are breeding but do not work , One moo, told me had a bad back and has never worked since he came here 9 years ago, but it does not stop him breeding, his wife has just dropped her fifth Baby four weeks ago. so much for a bad back, the NHS provide him with a new Mercedes car last year and he is handicapped with his bad back. He tells me, this is truly paradise.
Nearly one hundred people in the avenue, all sponging on the State [tax payers] multiply that around this town and all the other towns and it is costing us Tax Payers BILLIONS.
I am sick of the way our successive politicians have dumped all these pigs into our land. and they are shouting for us to take more and more.

Re: The NHS
Hi Jim.
why can't people just admit that the NHS is in one hell of a mess. If Tony Blair or the Labour party were in at present Brian and a few more would be screaming from the roof tops what a state it is in
.
In 2009, when Labour was in government, and that Liverpool fellow and MP for Leigh, Andy Burnham was the Minister for Health.
I had an accident and needed an operation, I waited for EIGHT MONTHS and then wrote to him asking Why am I waiting EIGHT MONTHS for an operation as I was in great pain all that time.,
He wrote back,.......... "Don't you know, you should not write to the Minister?". Burnham, Minister for Health.
I waited another two months , TEN MONTHS in all.
So Jim what has changed.???
Cheers
Brian

Re: The NHS
Reading all the posts makes me understand just how lucky we are here in Oz with our Medicare for which those who work pay 1.5% of income. How much is the NHS on income in UK now?
We have some fantastic Cancer hospitals here and the Olivia Newton one where I had my Prostate op four years ago is state of the art when it comes to treatment.
But many of our big hospitals have clinics adjacent to them where they send the 'non genuine' emergencies for treatment and they have to wait a long time to see a Doc as normally there is only one on duty.
But many of the emergency departments have a police man on duty 24/7.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: The NHS
I use the Bank Jim
in RBS an excellent one. They paid out 88,000 dollars for my operations in Hawaii and the Hotel for three weeks, refunded my cruise money and flew the two of us home in the First Class and a Chauffer to take us home from the airport.
Next year not a penny extra.
Most Insurance Companies will not insure after 69 years of age.
I am 82 in a few weeks still got World Wide Insurance for six week trip in March. Insurance was free up to 70 then £50 each if over 70
Nat West do a similar Insurance.
Cheers
