British Scientists reckon that they are not far away from curing deafness. The older you get the number of hairs in your ear decline causing deafness. Scientist reckon an injection in the ears which will cause the hairs to rejuvenate and thus restore hearing is only a few years away.

Re: Mutt and Jeff
For quite a few years I have had to get my ear syringed due to a build up of wax. I made an appointment to see the nurse at the doctors surgery, which was for last Wednesday. When I went in to see the nurse she looked down my ear and sais that she could not syringe the ear as the ear drum was visible and the wax was moving. Her suggestion was to carry on putting oil down my ear and that the wax would come out by itself as the oil would dissolve it. She also told me that the ultimate aim was stop people having their ears syringed and use oil instead. Have been using the oil for the past week and still deaf in one ear. Progress indeed.

Noticed the edit ? It may have been necessary, but leaves out the point injection will cause the hairs to rejuvenate !
