Where is this lunacy going to end ?, I,m sure if you were ill in Spain, or pretty much anywhere in the world, and required an interpreter, you would have to pay.We are so bloody soft in this country, makes you want to vomit, kt

if you think about it my cancer clinic will give you an appointment for 8'30 am knowing the clinic does not stat until 10.30 so there is 2 hours then the confrontation with the specialist then the wait for any medicine from the pharmacy to explain how to take and how much medicine so its about 4 hours start to finish work that out at £300.00 per hour per patient ? no wonder the nhs is going under? jp

Why cant they bring their own interpreters along to the surgery with them,. They can speak enough English to Claim Benefits they have not paid for.?
That is why the NHS is being run into the ground. cannot even get into hospitals because of the extra Millions of immigrants. They NHS wasn't built for all these non paying migrants flooding in.
I had to pay for my treatments in the hospital in Hawaii so why cant these migrants free loaders not pay for theirs here. Simple.
    Brian
    PS
Some of our Politicians say these migrants Enrich our Society,. what???????????????

we have volunteer translaters but only 10 til 2 and ony one for 30 consulting rooms.I struggle with limited Spanish and get by.There are notices telling people that if they don't speak the language they have to bring their own translater.
Most of the doctors here speak english but only if you make an effort in Spanish.
    The system works

The quangos that inspect the various departments (NHS etc) demand to see that all notices etc are in at least five languages and must show that interpreters are available if requested. Failure means a downgrading and can lead to a loss of funding.

Just read an article in the Sunday paper that Dictator Dave and the rest of his imbecilic cronies in the sham called a government are to impose a £170million funding cut to Pharmacy services which means that up to a quarter of all Pharmacies will be closed. Brilliant - what are the idiots saying - consult your pharmacist to ease pressure on your GP and local A&E and then cutting the number of them - you could not make it up. I have signed the petition to save them - perhaps all could help - see HERE

and they have the nerve to ask us to vote for them,
How can ordinary decent folks vote for a cheating lying berstered who only tries to con you at all times.?
So why do we waste our time voting?
    .
What would happen I wonder, if No One in the entire nation voted for any politician at the general election, because Not One van be trusted, not one vote for any party.
Would the existing government stay in power or abdicate.??

A Consultant I know very well, and is very close to me, but will not mention his name, told me last week that desperate Dave is after privatising the NHS.
Now this started under Fony Bliar`s Labour government, Not just the Conservative party, But regardless of Party they are Politicians, so you know they are all the same lying berstereds, they brought in American advisers to reform the NHS and to plan the road to breaking it up into Private Sectors.
This has continued under the Brown and now Cameron governments.
The Lies in Parliament are terrible. last week at Question time Cameron said he had increased NHS spending by around Two Billion Pounds. when in fact he had reduced it by Two Million Pounds.
The Junior Doctors Strike was caused by a "Wage Cut" to Doctors pay. My very close, Consultant, has only had a 1% pay rise in Seven Years.
They Government said they want a Seven Day NHS, They tried it in GP Surgeries, no one turned up, a waste of a good Doctors time, as people stayed home on Sundays and wanted to go during week days.
The Hospital Service has always been a Seven Day Service,
You can go to A&E on a Saturday and Sunday be treated or admitted and seen to by a Consultant and Doctors, no problem, The only thing missing on a weekend is the day clinics, that is no problem, if it is serious they will take you in.
My very close, Consultant said, He works one weekend in three, as well as the Five Days during the week, so on the week end On he works Monday right through to a week the following Friday, which makes him work Twelve Days continuous without a break or extra money. BUT the Patients are covered.
Regarding the Junior Doctors Strike, the new contract requires them to work a different rota for weekends, previously they got extra money for the extra hours worked, so Jeremy Hunt , who is Desperate Dave`s puppet on a string, said he gave them a pay increase to allow for that, BUT the pay increase is less than the pay they receive for the extra hours they work, so effectively it is a Pay Cut. So that is why they have come out on Strike.
All Dave is doing is making the NHS intolerable so it can be broken up into segments and sold off to American Companies and privatised.
That is the plan and future of the NHS.

#9, on the subject of not voting, I read somewhere that if you don't vote it's just a "no show", on the other hand,
showing up to vote and simply folding you're voting slip in half, dropping it in the slot, gets recorded as a "no confidence in any party" vote,
I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if it works, but gave me something to think about.
