Been getting the latest upgraded shots for many years and don't get colds let alone the 'flue since. 9.45am Monday is this years appointment with the latest strain included. Anyway, I've got too many jobs I'm told need doing I haven't started yet, let alone to finish.

I've had my shots every year without fail since I had the flu ten years ago. It works for me. What I hate though is some one dropping in and saying for example. "Jim/Jane sent me over to return the book you lent him/her last year,...he couldn't come himself as he's got a heck of sore throat and is running a bit of a fever." Yeah right! he/she couldn't be a flu carrier could she/he?

Rodders ytou have it right there. carriers who do not know they are such but refuse to have the jab putting all olthers at risk. Ifg all had the jab we could possibly see the end of the bloody thing.

Same as when working and get those penis headed buggers that would come into work all dosed up with medication and hacking all over the place spreading their germs. The worst part was they would be applauded by the boss for never taking a day of work sick while everyone else was falling ill because of the feckers. Never could figure out how the employers mind worked concerning that.

Found out years ago so long back it does not matter. The sheriff and I purchased an electric blanket and we suffered all winter with colds. Ditched the blanket and since then only had the occasional cold but nothing so severe as then. Think that the problem with so many today is that the body has been doped up with so many chemicals and conditioned air (especially in Oz) that the immune system of the body is getting weaker. Prime example is kids of today. Live inside all the time and constantly suffering from some form or other and the kids that get outside and loose a bit of bark and leak claret while exploring life seem to coast through it all. Yep we are turning into a bunch of whimps I reckon and yes I include myself in that LOL.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

    Hi Les.
I have never ever had a flue shot neither has my wife, if we ever have a bit of a cough we stay in in a few days it's gone. Like you say I think people are taking to many prescription drugs and stuffing their immune system up, I can't remember the last time I had any flue symptoms. The only problem I get is an asthmatic type of cough sometimes early morning; something I've only had since living in Cooma someone said it's all the dust from the treeless plain, I have fixed that with Cappy's Ginger concoction, brilliant and natural.
    Cheers Des
PS nice to hear from you again Les

Des I think you have nailed the problem with breathing problems mate. Living to close to the capital mate the pollies are sucking all the oxygen out of the air then filling it with that much BS that not only are locals choking but the rest of Oz is starting to suffer. Remember the good old days when people had intestinal fortitude unlike today like a bunch of fecking sheep heading to the polling station. Yep a meal of baked beans laced with a couple of desert spoons of curry and a couple of chili soon gets the fluids flowing.
That's the way the mop flops.

Les mate you got it in one. I am what you may call a minimalist when it comes to clothes. Shirts and shorts all year, bare feet in house and garden. Forget the last time I had even a cold, see them in the winter all rugged up and dying with colds. Immune system for so may is totally rooted now. More bloody pills sold then ever before with some taking do many vitamin pills they must rattle. Eat good food, stay fit, get some fresh air and do not take the pills.

    Yabadabadoo!!!!!
I have just got the word from the Hospital, the result of my Biopsies of my Larynx.
I do not have Cancer as was suspected. What a relief I can now sleep at night. I have to go back in June for a check up.
I still cannot speak yet, only whisper. but I now feel a hell of a lot better than I did before. Thanks.
