Hi To both Joe and Brian.
Glad your better Joe, and to Brian good luck.
They say laughter is the best medicine SO
In Georgia, Tiger Woods_ who is sitting out this year through injury- drives his Mercedes-Benz into a petrol station on South Alabama, just on the edge of a picturesque rural village.
The attendant at the pump greets him nonchalantly, completely unaware of who the golfing pro is.
"How y'all doing?" says the attendant.
Tiger nods a quick, cursory "Hiya" and as he bends to wipe a fleck of guff from his white golfing shoes, two tees fall out of his shirt pocket.
"What are they, son?" asks the attendant.
    "They're called tees," replies Tiger.
"Well, what are they for?" inquires the Alabama man.
"They're for resting my balls on when I'm driving," says Tiger.
"Well, I'll be Goddamned, "says this son of the Deep South. "Those good ole boys at Mercedes think of everything.
    Cheers Des

Joe mate that is not good to be off for so long. Have you had the flu injection yet? Only had the flu once and that was more than enough. Now have the injection every year and the pneumonia one every five.

Brian, nothing will stop you so just go there and get it over.

To both of you good luck and get better as quick as you can, your country needs you.

Had a similar op Brian think already said. Was only squeezed in between 2 bigger ops.in the afternoon was home for teatime. Just a growth on the voice box. Will be told not too talk too much and rest your voice for a week or so. I did not as the wife cant read semaphore. All the breast. Also to Joe, try gargling with whisky and hot water on second thoughts forget the hot water. Make sure is a good brand of whisky suggest Grouse or better known as low fliers. Cheers JS

Joe if you get offered the flu jab take it mate. You may feel like **** for a couple of weeks after the inoculation, but trust me its is worth it. I get one every year and have not so much as caught the common cold. As I type this my better half Catherine is coughing and spluttering all over the place and drinking the very strong hot toddy I have made for her. She also refuses to have the flu jab. I rest my case.

Have never had the flu jab. Might be stupid of me not to but seeing as I have never had flu can not see the reason to tempt fate as so many that have had the jab ended up crook as a dog. Was a bit on the box the other day where they found out that about 26% of the population have a gene that protects them and they are trying to isolate this particular bit of DNA so as to immunise everyone. Maybe I am one of those that have this immune thing but not going to weaken the fecker with toxic chemicals for sure. Any others in the same boat (pun intended). Often wonder how many end up with a bad cold and decide that they have the flu. Having said all this I must admit that I have suffered badly with the flu when it came to sick notes for work.

Now have the jab each year, though only once had the flu way back in the 70's. S h1T on a stick for a week was how I felt so no more flu thank you, will take the jab.

Recent medical and media reports have found, after exhaustive research, that there is such a complaint as Man Flu. Unlike other sufferers, we tend to minimise our symptoms and suffer in manly silence and not make a 'song and dance' of it.
