Speedy recovery Marian, hope you get well soon.
Alec.
Marion I used to get all those symptons you mention when I was a lot younger and had to put up with a lot of abuse such as serves you right and that will teach you to behave, when all the time I was a sick man through no fault of my own. Alas most of those I got abuse from are mostly dead now, apart from the wife and I dare not demand an apology from her, as she is a non-believer, and doesn't appreciate a good honest man like myself. If she ever takes the time to read some of these posts I would get hell right up to my death bed so I don't complain as I should. Anyhow hope your Septus has now done a disappearing act. Cappy thinks you are talking about old Seppy a bosun we both knew. His name was Septimus too. Anyhow get well soon if already haven't, and if needs be take more water with it. And remember its not the cough that carries you off, its the coffin they carry you off in. John S
Just words of encouragement Ivan. Her hubbie must be going through a bad time as well, most of us have experienced illness in the family, it is as you yourself know when its a wife its worse as they are usually the stabilizing influences in any family and we are lost without them. I joke on about mine but it also covers up a lot of misgivings about her health. She is back to driving herself now as the mandatory 6 weeks recuperation is passed, so can have a drink tomorrow night as will have a driver back from the BBQ. Marion will have her family around her to give her support, and as her husband travels a lot I hope he will be at home also. I have and always will have guilt about the early years in our marriage when I used to go away for a year at a time, even one time when she had glandular fever which lasted several years. Marian is in the best place in her own home with her family to care for her, something which as I said I never was, only in the latter years. So I count the days now, a bit late I suppose. Get well soon Marian, know you will be OK. Cheers John S
