Hnag in there Bill, I know from personal experience it can be beaten. Keep a positive attitude and you will be OK. All the best for the op. And keep your hands off the nurses they are too busy.
Bill
Can only add my best wishes along with all others here. Operable stomach cancer must be scary but I reckon you will come out the other side a stronger person (so long as you keep your hands off the nurses). I have a mate who had similar, he made a full recovery after the op. and is now still chasing the ladies around Shields hotspots so chin up and good luck.

All my good wishes go out to you Bill. Keep your chin up and be positive and I know all will be well. Have beaten the Big C three times and still here to tell the tale. My Prayers and thoughts will be with you today and until you are back to tell us all about operation and the Lovely Nurses.
Take Care and God Bless You and your lovely Family.
Luv and Hugs.

Hi Bill,
By now you will probably be in the Recovery Ward, feeling a bit tired and only vaguely aware of what is happening in the world around you. Thankfully, that will soon pass and you will be on your way back to good health. Bill, may I echo the sentiments of all your BMN shipmates and wish you a speedy and complete recovery. Just concentrate on getting better, try and be a good patient and do everything the nice nurse tells you.:)

Hope all went well shipmate, rooting and praying for ya

Well Shipmates, just to let you all know I am home, very tender if not hale and harty, the operation was a success, I lost 2/3rds of my stomach, now got to teach the final 3rd to accept small amounts of food.
I cannot fault the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for their care 3 days in HDU spoiled me for going into the General Wards in HDU is one to one care, but the quality of staff in both were magnificent
Well done Bill, now its a case of sit back, recover, and above all obey orders!!!, look after youself KT
