Mike Alexander served with Head Line between 9/1959 and 4/1967 then made for Coastal Command as a Navigator. thence BP. Later spent much time in Iraq and mid-east generally involved in road haulage for Enkalon. Government service 1978 - 1997. Returned to sea with Crescent as C/O Invited for reunion aboard HMS Illustrious October(09) for a 4 day bash at sea. By coincidence eldest son serving as WO1 Avionics, same ship. Tried retirement twice, failed. Now in Security industry with Security Industry Authority.Have taken to writing with first book published in July. May try retirement next year!!!
