Flooded house update
Well after 5 months everything is almost back to normal. Joiners fitted the skirting boards on Saturday which was the last job to do in the house. Furniture was delivered from storage this morning although the removers bashed a new door which will have to be replaced, washing machine was plumbed in and it is leaking over the utility room floor, so he will have to come back. Typical of my luck.
It's been a slog at times with the building company office not ordering stuff at the right time, the tradesmen were excellent but the back office were not.
Anyway soon be ship shape and Bristol fashion again, Regards Michael

Hi Micheal
Plumbers are always in Sh%t street, I think the type of job that requires a good man. After seeing the suffering by the people of Northern
NSW, on TV with this storm I can well imagine what you have been through, Good luck mate, and enjoy a well deserved holiday.

You can always recuperate at Feathers Caravan site at Whitley Bay Michael, but you’ll have to get your name down quick before Race Week when the Scots Invasion starts , not too far to walk to the Briardene pub,I should know as used to live behind it , don’t be fooled by it being a Free House you still have to pay for the beer , that’s just to attract the Scots. Good plumbers are very rare here in Oz.
We get the usual 'cowboy' type that love to put fridge magnets with their company name on, but try and contact one, sorry mate too busy.
Had one round to my place a few years ago, told me my water heater was stuffed.
When I told him it only required a new thermo copuler he took off.

Re: Flooded house update
Had a new kitchen & bathroom fitted last year. the Kitchen fitter was using one of these Laser lined levels. Having never seen one like this thing I was curious. Guy explained to me how it worked. He said this is the business. Is in the process of fitting the work tops. I said they do not look level mate. Just gave me a look and says the laser says they are , my ball bearing says they are not, get it sorted. Made a good job , level overall length & also breadth, mind you he did ask me for the ball bearing to check. The fitted fridge was the same. He baulked at that one, whats up with that? I put a bottle of beer in on it's side it rolled from one side to the other..
The suppliers asked me to do a customers satisfaction report. I suggested the kitchen fitters carried a ball bearing, never got a response.
