#18 well for starters before the rot gets too hard to alter , I think we should follow the US doctrine that to be president of the USA one has to be born and bred as a US citizen. Myself I would follow up on this and say to get any role in government one has to be born and bred in that country of origin. May not sound democratic but is keeping the wolfs from the door to a certain extent. JS

It would go bad JS just like here in the UK is already going bad in places like London. Until someone like Trump gets in and talks the talk (not necessarily walking the walk) Most voters in London are not of British heritage. Oh! I forgot about the London voters that are no longer even alive or living here, they also help change UK bollotics by casting their votes and have done for many years.

My worst fear now is that as Ukraine doesn't like Trump not even letting them have a say in the talks in Saudi Arabia to end the war, the Little Clown will find a way to get a Russian missile and lob it over into maybe Germany or Poland, as he can see it all ending with America taking what they want to pay for all of Biden's arms they got.

As regards the format of the talks Des, don’t believe everything you read , I don’t believe Trump is the kind of person to take the media into his confidence unless it suits his purpose, and even then will be with tongue in cheek. He above all has no great love for them and just goes through the motions he has to ,to appease the masses. Most news about him will be purely conjecture on their behalf until what he is after is done and dusted.
Success or failure remains to be seen , but he is not going to give them the bullets to play with has had too much bad press in the past, most of us would treat them the same with his past experience of such. Cheers JS

'He is clearing the swamp' according to one USA senator today.

    But what is democracy?

The answer is what ever you may want it to be.
Different countries have very different ideas on that.

Here in Oz we have a form of democracy, but the system says it is 'compulsory' to vote.
But that is a down right lie.
What you must do is have your name crossed off the list when you arrive at the poling station, what you do after that is up to you.

Is that democratic, all depends on who you ask.
Then we have the preferential voting system, crazy as you may get the lowest primary vote but win with preferences!!!!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    JS has it about right.
The thing with Trump is, he gets peoples attention far better than most other bolloticians or national leaders.
