Yep got to admit RWD cars are crap in the snow, never had a RWD car since I sold the Capri almost 50 years ago, but it was still fun to drive.
I had a rear wheel drive BMW 525D, from 2007 to 2015. Drove long distances through all the bad winters we had 2010-12 without any problems due to using winter tyres; I had Michelin Easy Grip Kevlar "chains", never had to use them, even driving from N. Germany to Ijmuiden in Holland in 2012 in severe conditions when half of Germnay was at a standstill.
All wheel permanent Land Rover, no worries in any conditions.
Never got stuck anywhere due to snow ,mud or any other weather condition.
Just read an article in this month’s Readers Digest on the “Gates of Hell” a flaming gas crater in Turkmenistan which has been spewing methane into the atmosphere for over 50 years. Appraently, methane is responsible for more than 25% of the “global warming” and is 80 times more potent than CO2 and for longer; this makes me laugh every time I read of the Greens rabbiting on about Australia needing to cease our part in global warming by 2050. All that effort and expense isn’t going to make a blind bit of difference is it, not when I read about those Gates of Hell. Hoping they will be able to permanently extinguish the stuff coming out of the crater and Greta Whatserface can shut up once and for all. Morgan Vague has done more for the planet than she will ever do. Okay off the soapbox!
Interesting bit in the news today about Sweden.
Some 1500 years ago volcanic Sulphur from close by clouded the sky for over 100 years, result no sun light and all the trees and plants died.
It was followed by a small ice age.
It was announced in the news today that global emission are down by some 36% , but the planet continues to warm!!!!
Claims the planet is now the warmest it has been for over 2 million years!!
