    Hi Les.
This sort of ting has been going on since the Pilgrim fathers landed in America, and they took the lands off the Indians, killed all the buffalo
then discovered Gold ,oil, coal et all on the reservations so had to kick them off again. The difference if any is that the Aboriginal now want to have a bit of the good life, so want their kids educated which many are doing, but many are not, still living the life they have known for ever, its a hard row to hoe for us to decide what they really want. But as you say Dutton the ex copper used to and enjoying kicking the **** of aboriginal kids is now doing it to the grown ups, causing a lot of confusion.

The Australian constitution is an instrument for the governance of the nation and is 'A" political.

The proposed version of the Voice is a political issue, as such it has no place in the constitution.

Problem is of course very few understand the constitution so either party can use what ever they like to suit them. But there are so many bodies caring for the Aboriginal communities one has to ask why more??

The Voice will, if it gets up, be just the beginning of many instances

Look at what has just happened in S. Australia, the high court has granted land rights over some of the best land in the state.

There are two ways a country can be taken over, colonization or invasion.

Many of the Aboriginal claim invasion, under that rule you lose every thing to the invader.
If that is the case then they own nothing.

But as a leading elder here in my town told me manyy ears ago,

' We do not own the land, the land owns us and is here for all'

John you have answered your own response. Yes the constitution is A political and that is the reason for this vote to change it to include the voice. To allow them a voice that can not be gagged by a political party. Simply because all the other groups have been legislated as the LNP want with the voice so that it becomes up to the political party in power to either foster it or starve it of funds to make it futile. Comes down to the basic facts that no one trusts politicians to keep their word. Who can ever forget that lying anus wipe Howard with his non core and core promises after he won the election on all the promises he made. Personally think that the voice will be lost simply because once again the LNP doing their usual misuse of the truth or rearranging it to suit their agenda. This started out to be A political and guess who changed all that.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

I agree, all it has done is divide the country and create racism.

The most amazing thing about this is the number of senior Aboriginals, real ones not box tickers, who are opposed to it.
If it is the answer then why are they against it

Or do they have an ulterior motive behind it all?
