It has been said by many that the drivers in Victoria here in Oz are the worst in the world, have to agree somewhat there.

I was taught to drive by an ex Police driving instructor who had retired from the force and set up a driving school.
'You drive to conditions, not speed limits' was one of his cries.

    Pity some did not listen.

Couple of nights ago very wet, speed limit 110klm, that is about 70mph, and five in a nose to tail.

Our road books will tell you that at 100klm under perfect conditions, that si dry road good tires and brakes, you need 140 meters to stop, up to 50% more in the wet.
At just 60klm you need 65 meters.

One reason for the problems, lack of Police, we are short by some 800 here in Melbourne and surrounds, but the vehicle manufactures and the crash repair guys just love us.
    As to the insurance guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
