The’re just the pommy ones from. South of the Watford Junction Cappy, you’ll never hear a bad word about the weather
From those north of the Humber, maybe the price of the beer but not the sunshine. Cheers JS

I remember loading newsreel in Liverpool, Nova Scotia and having to close the lids at least once per day because of heavy snow. It was late December and took us 2 weeks to load. We sailed for Brisbane on Dec 23rd and arrived in Oz to blistering heat. It was my first exposure to the heat of an Oz summer. We went ashore to go to a public swimming pool and was puzzled why most people had a white substance spread on their noses and lips. Didn’t take us long to figure out why.
I was still black when I paid off a couple of months later.

Cappy it is not whingeing but just stating the bleeding obvious that last summer was crappy. Never understood when people whinge about the heat here. My response has always been the same? It is fecking Australia mate what do you expect. Unfortunatly could not utter those words last year. When asked why did I come to Oz my reply as always is? If I am going to be on the beach I am not going to be bloody cold as well mate. Yep climate change is upon us and even mother nature is confused to what is happpening here as elsewhere.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Here in Victoria we had a very good summer last year, went on for so long with constant but not too hot temperatures.
The weather men have told us August this year will be very wet, more so than usual.
To date not drop of the stuff.
But seasons may be on a change.
June was like normal, July just like June and now August like a July.
Very cold mornings, clear blue sky and very little rain, none so far.
No rain on the horizon either so where do the weather men get their info??
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
