Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
Seems, our government has summoned the French ambassador re: France 'breaking international law'
Wonder where Paris got that idea from ?
A. 4 Mar 2021 — On Wednesday, the European Commission accused the UK of breaking international law for a second time .

Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
Those big bottom draggers were kicked off the Australian coast, it may have been a Dutchman, they ruin the fishing trade.

Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
Des, it was not the PM who called it off on the Froggie subs.
All such matter comes under the secretary of the ministry of de fence.
It was Turnbull, who went against the advice of that department who allowed the Froggie sub deal to go ahead.
But then he was not the sharpest knife in the box.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
Like his today’s opposite number in France Macron or whatever his name is , his middle name was Bank. The one in France only I believe in a learners position . What experience that gives to running a country who knows. The present problems of the ex premier of NSW , I feel sorry for her in a way , the way the media is ripping away her private social life , if she had been a French Polly she would have had no problems. Macron or Macaroon came into office with all such private life like an open book I believe. His wife a number of years older than him was his school teacher and had her way with him when under age , would any man in his right mind complain. Which makes me wonder about a previous post on the use of the half open toilets in France and how such great lovers that the French are , how one could let one of his hands hang on to his girlfriends hand whilst in the act of spending a penny. And not make better use of the situation. Cheers JS

Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
Don't remember the French asking visitors or transport documents for equipment entering the country in 1944, wonder if we broke any regulations then, perhaps we may yet get an invoice for import duties!

Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
An interesting point, the French can capture UK trawlers but can't catch immigrants crossing the channel.

Re: French government and Scottish owned fishing boat
Back to fishing, these licences were sold of years ago, so i am not sure how we will ever be able to ban EU boats who already have them.Whoever made those rules was mad
