Hi Lewis.
Remember the song, "Money Money Money" Pfizer's profit must be up in the $trillion by now.

Re: two jabs ..not two jags
In the Saturday paper we get a weekend magazine.
This week the major story was about AZ.
Two very learned Australian medicos were involved with the development of the vaccine.
Prof. Mathew Snape and Doctor Merryn Voysey were the two involved.
Prof Snape had been at the Royal Children's hospital in Melbourne before moving to St. Mary's in Paddington London, the hospital where Penicillin was discovered.
Oxford had for some years been working on a vaccine base that could, by adding some DNA from the virus, be developed into a vaccine to defeat the virus.
These two were at the head of a trial, of some 30,000 persons across six countries to trial the effectiveness of it.
From this Pfizer developed theirs and as Des rightly said made a fortune out of it.
AZ has the advantage of only needing normal refrigeration.
Further research has found it to be 90% effective against the virus where as the Pfizer is not so good and has a need for a booster shot after and every six months.
AZ is good for 12 months.
So the suspicion that this is some sort of clinical trial across the globe sits with the anti vaxers who rely on Fake book for their info.

Re: two jabs ..not two jags
I have just had my booster jab, first two were AZ, booster Pfizzer, i asked why different and was told the mix is better over time. I am just the bloke who is pleased to get my jabs, and happy to go along with the perceived wisdom, cos i know nothing. This is one report i have looked up, i have no doubt there will be many contradicting this, here is the link

Re: two jabs ..not two jags
Victoria, we were told by our GP that when time we will be contacted by the surgery as that is where we had our two jabs.
Told it will be with the same Vaccine as the original.
Time will tell about that one.
Some booster shots, six months after the last, are being given here on the big island to those considered to be at most risk.

Re: two jabs ..not two jags
Hi Victoria.
As you know we have had problems obtaining Pfizer as the Add man lied about ordering them, but now they have an outbreak in the Northern Territory among the Aboriginals, the people I thought would have been given the jab long ago, but seems they are behind the eight ball, because as usual it is mainly B talk when the Govt say they are concerned.

Re: two jabs ..not two jags
Similar here Victoria, some well into their 70's not had a shot waiting for some one to tell them when.
Simple, just ask!!!!
As to supply of Pfizer, the other day USA announced why we did not get supply in the early days.
They did not consider Oz to be in the same need as USA.
So supply was held back until numbers of vaccinated in USA rose.
We will be told in January when and what Vaccine we will be given as a booster.
It will be up to the health department to decide which one we have.
At present that is the same as your first one, but yes that could change.
There is talk that the reason for the Pfizer as a booster is not to do with health, more to do with Pfizer profit which has been stated at about $3 billion for the last year.

Re: two jabs ..not two jags
Hi Victoria.
We didn't hesitate , it was just that the jabs were not available in Cooma, at least we couldn't get one. {We have had both now}it was only my wife's Specialist who organized it after telling her she would not survive Covid, prior to that it was a shambles
