Keith, How many rugby players that you know of have died during a match or training, This former Newcastle UTD Player 30yrs old Cheick Tiote collapsed and died last Monday and he is not the first in the last couple of years, Indeed Danish international and Spurs Player Christian Erickson was minutes from death during this Euro tournament.

The commonest high-risk injury sites are the shoulder, knee, thigh, ankle, and head. Although injury research publications have increased since 1995, studies investigating risk factors for specific high-risk injuries (including nonfatal catastrophic injury) and to assess the effects of discrete prevention strategies need prioritizing.

Some years back we had problems here in Oz with local soccer fans.
Mainly Croatian and Serbian causing a lot of problems.
Letting off flares at the match was one off the biggest problems.
But when the soccer officials said matches without fans or no matches the attitude slowly changed, no problems now and the league does well.

You must have been watching the Arial ping pong when you were living in Victoria, Grown men hugging and kissing because one of them kicked the ball I couldn't see anything in it to watch , the same as I don't watch the thugs that play Rugby League in NSW. I would sooner go down the local field and watch the kids playing, that's enjoyment for kids before they become the same.

Terry in the last decade there have been 14 fatalities at professional and senior rugby levels. I love my football, but playing in empty stadiums just exposed some of the pussies that play the game. During match of the day the later end of this season the pundits held a scream of the day.

Lew, I could go back a decade and count if you want i am talking the last couple of years 3 that i can remember without a search engine, I am only to aware of a training session for a semi pro footballer when my son played in goal for Marine F.C.
