    Default Australia

Something very strange is happening down under. First there were the fires, then the floods, now NSW is being over run by mice. If I were a religious Ausie I would be getting worried, the biblical plagues are repeating themselves. Fire , Flood , Disease and Pestilence , what is next?

    Yes indeed Bill
This Rain event is one of the worst we have seen since coming here in 1980, its a one in 50 Year event and is causing so much damage its not funny!
Our largest Dam Warragamba is now overflowing with Millions of Litres spilling over and making the Main Nepean River raging .
Many many homes are under water in several places now, Penrith, is in the firing line as is Windsor and other areas! Aerial Picture show just how much Flooding is going on, and the Rain still pelts down .

News on this Residents evacuate homes in Sydney's west as wild weather continues to batter NSW (msn.com)

So we are still i9n for more Today and Tomorrow here, and the Lord knows how much still in the North.

Careful watch is on all over , as the Levels keep rising.
    Cheers

Ya just got to love living in Oz. Never know what is around the corner. So glad that I chose higher ground when purchasing the house as that was one of my concerns even all those years ago. Now we will see how all those new estates that they opened up for the developers will fare for the want of making a quick dollar.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

A young girl was to be married when the floods started, she was going to have the reception in her house, she watched as her house was lifted up by the floods and into the river, her boyfriend was on the other side of the river as it went sailing past, I felt for them, but surprisingly the girl had a smile on her face when talking to the cameras, the boy had tears in his eyes.
AS Les, said the developers knew that parts of Penrith was in a 100 year flood zone, now we are seeing the disaster occur.

The farmers out West are praying for this rain to come over there, the only way to get rid of the plague of mice.

#6.. Des over the years I have at times had a recurrent nightmare that I’m on a ship and sailing down the high street of some town and coming up to a corner and wondering how I’m going to get round it. Then I wake up , I have had this dream for years , so if you do see ships floating past let’s know how they manoeuvre round the corners .The one in my dream is always a single screw , wouldn’t be too disturbing if at least if it was twin screw. Cheers JS.

We love our sunburned country, a land of sweeping plains,
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.

We took a weekend away drive up to the Murray, beautiful part of the country.

We watched the floods across the NSW and Queensland sections, Vernon had you not moved to where you are things may well have been worse.

Also on the news, the world in so many countries, the situation in Hong Kong and and Myanmar, the Vaccination shambles in EU, then to be told Oz is now free of virus.

We though then, no matter what the weather may throw at us we sure are in a lucky country, no where better.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Believe latest figures are that up to 50 thousand people may need to be evacuated.
Supposed to be first day of vaccine for some people but distribution has many problems with so many roads under water.
Come home Noah, all is forgiven.
