    The State Pension is not a Benefit, it is paid for with weekly contributions from a workers salary. during the 50 years of employment.

    It is only a Benefit if you never worked or contributed
    There are now14 families on Benefits in my once Des Res Avenue. Not one is poor. All have several cars, `Heyou` bext door, , moved in from pakist an 15 years ago,. never worked, Today his wife has a car, his two teenage sons each as has a car, and Heyou,
    [ Mr Bad Back[ was all excited as he got a Free NHS Car, he came running to me.shouting, `This is Truly Paradise`.;
    We have three families in one house from Hungary, been here 4 years, a ;load of kids.
    The buy and sell cars, advertising on the Internet, All these BUMS do not pay Council Tax, I have to £1,850 a year out of my pension.I reported them to the Council.
    A Councillor wrote back to me saying , He had been to my avenue and didnt see any car show room, They have cars parked all along the avenue and around the corner,
    They used to park outside my house, until I battered one then picked him up and bounced him on the bonnet of one of his cars caving it in, He didnt like that , cost a lot of money for a new one.
    I have story after story of the Benefit Bums.

    As I have said, I have experienced REAL POVERTY. with NO benefit at all, you even had to pay to see a Doctor. you had to pay to have a baby. NO ALLOWANCES

    I still have the receipt for my birth in hospital. The hospital was owned by the Town Hall and it cost Dad more than two weeks wages. and No Child Allowance.
    So dont give me any Rubbish on poverty and hungry kids.
    You must all be in Fairy land

    Brian, it is now described by the DWP as a benefit. I agree it is something we who worked all our lives for and paid plenty in to the pot. Sure they have even stolen thousands of £pounds from women born in the 1950's (1995 pensions act) and then again in 2010 when it was bumped from 65 to 66. My own wife now has to wait until November 2023 so her being a 1957 and still a good looking lass has had roughly £50,000 stolen from her.

    The state pension is a benefit payment available to the majority of people when they reach the current State Pension age. It is a universal, non-means tested benefit available to all, so long as they have made the requisite National Insurance contributions or credits This is copied from the DWP website.

    And to cap it off:

    World Rugby recommends postponing RWC2021 until next year in the interests of teams and fans. The recommendation will be considered by the RWC Board and World Rugby's Executive Committee on March 8 and 9.
