As for breaking the protocol surely that was because the EU was delaying food exports from the UK mainland and EU. NI supermarkets, we were given to understand were experiencing severe shortages and Boris decided to take action, and it was later proved that protocol had not been breached because food shortages came under emergency protocols reliefs.

As mentioned earlier if the EU did ignore patent rights then it would probably shoot itself in the foot, as far is future investment is concerned, the EU cannot wield the big stick with the same power as the Chinese.

The French would probably be quite happy to invade the UK now that they are allied with Germany, but wouldn't have the balls to do it on their own, we would not need Armies or Navies, just repel them with hypodermic needles as they have an aversion to them.

We don't need to argue on the EU, its on the way to going tits up without our help, as for the French, when have they ever been any different, we know from the past, they will change sides as it suits them, kt

Two aspects of this on our news here in Oz.

According to sources some 45% of Frogs say they do not want to be vaccinated!!

Most of the ingredients to make the Oxford Vaccine come from UK and the EU need them!!

    What next one wonders?
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Astra Zeneca are being pilloried by France and Germany for producing a vaccine which in their opinion is ineffective. Although they claim it it is ineffective the EU are planning to block exports to other countries, including third world countries where the Covid is rife.
They have discredited the vaccine in such away that the population of their own countries are shunning the vaccine, with the result in increased cases of the virus.
A.Z. has had so much bad publicity its shares prices are falling, and it is the only company to offer its vaccine at cost price. Moderna and Pfizer are charging between$5 and $28 a jab and are making millions.
A spokesman for A.Z. stated that they will never ever offer products at cost price.

Meanwhile Merkle and Macron go about their business as though nothing has happened.

I was scheduled for my first jab last Tuesday at 5.35 pm, had to drive 40Km to the site. complete chaos, running late... finally got to the table and was asked some questions, one being are you taking chemo, yes, sorry cant give the jab. told to contact my doctor for clearance. After Six at night how are you going to get hold of your specialist....Waited nearly an hour and finally left. Made other arrangements and go in april.... Doc say's it is fine, go ahead.....

Sorry to hear about your debacle Stan, my wife is taking Chemo has had the jab some weeks ago and has been okay. I think some of those on the jab sites have not been correctly briefed, as if you had a letter from your surgery your condition will have been taken into account. Good luck for next time.

I see that they are testing all HGV drivers coming in from the continent, which is a start. It seems to have got out of hand in the EU, so i would think that tight restrictions on all incomers would be a good idea. We might not have to worry about the tunnel traffic very soon, as it looks as though Eurostar are going tits up for the French as main share holders, kt
