Cappy I was here on holiday then the year after you on in 1989, that explains quite a bit then , I wondered why I was getting funny looks whenever I said why aye man. We decided then to come out here permanently and finally made it in 1991. Which was another 2 years in the North Sea , why Aye man it gets cold and wet there in wintertime. Being a lot poorer than you I had to get a bank loan to do it. The holiday that is. Did a 10 day job for Westminster dredging for samples of the sand off the coast starting with Dover and finishing in the Thames estuary , paid the air fares here . Left real poverty behind in the UK and started all over again out here a lot better off with time. Now I’ve joined the Air Force am flying . Cheers JS
Cappy ,we even have spuds here for those that bat for the other team, you will often see signs at the side of a country road advertising NEW QUEENS AVAILABLE SOON.
But it would be a brave man that would venture into bandit country and ask for KING EDWARDS :)
RE: ,we even have spuds here.
