Dont know what Doctor says that John, yes agree to a point that ones Healthy Body is a big factor in fighting off all the nasties, however many studies at Top Medical Universities have proven that Age does come into it , and after a certain age i think as said 65 , the Body cannot produce enough protection as before, and so the process slows as the age grows.
Therefore the Vaccine of various is vital for aged People. Like any other part of the Human Body, at some stage things all slow down, and deteriorate
So any Doctor who says different is to me not doing the right thing!

Will agree Victoria but i was speaking in General of any Virus or Illness, that older People are more in danger of catching something due to their Immune System slowly breaking down.

What is old age??
many men I know are looking old and feeling old and acting old at 60.

I am over 25 years past that age.
I have just finished a work out with my exercise bike, and my weights and bendy bar,.

Just off now for a good dinner, and a tot of whisky. 85 and still feeling young

Some are just luckier than others Capt, you are one of the Lucky ones.
But like you even though i have had a few ups and downs along the way i am still pretty good at 80, and am told that by many here!

I used to delve in all that Weight stuff but am now on to the Golf , like it a lot better! LOL

I used to play Golf twice a week,
but unfortunately all my mates are now dead, got no one to play with .All my friends gone. it gets a little lonely at times.
I guess it is the price to pay for getting "old".,

Its the Dementia I worry about. One can see it in others and makes one think you may have it yourself and not know. Thats why a site like this which makes you think back must be doing good. No good saying Forget it and dont worry about it, thats just what it wants you to do. I keep on forgetting I owe Cappy 1/6d. JS

Thats a good cue for him to say forget about it and dont worry about it. But he"ll just forget he even saw it , then have a sudden wish list and say it was 1/9d JS

Both her indoors and I are among the lucky ones, no need for medication.
But last year saw a cardiologist who told me my heart was good for at least another 25 years!!

But I do believe age is in the mind as well, many I know when reaching a certain age take the attitude, 'I am too old now to do that'.
I have no time for that, but i admire the man who tries even if he fails, he tried and that is the most important part.

The Virus will effect so many in so many different ways, but it is not just age.
My niece in London, senior radiographer told me of a 28 year old man who died with the Virus.
The autopsy showed he was an undiognosed Diabetic.
