Even Bernie Ecclestone stayed away from the sport for several years after the accident.

Slightly off topic. Stirling Moss's little sister was a real goer. Speak of keeping it in the family.

Certainly of interest to the topic, little sister was a real goer,
made me wonder but, what a pun.
Cheers Bill, still chuckling but better informed. LOL.
Keith.
Patricia Ann "Pat" Moss-Carlsson a different class
should have been honoured.

Mike started this thread as Running In. It brought back many memories for most of us. I found this on Youtube. They really have been "Run In"

Not seen that in years, all modern cars do not need running in.
But servicing now is not easy to do as a DYI hobby, most are now too sophisticated to even consider apart from an oil change, but even that is not easy on some.
Cannot do it on my Land Rover as it requires a special tool to get to it.
My Dad was a scrap merchant so had loads of different cars that were still "runners" come into the yard, this of course meant he always had free motoring (never bothered with tax/insurance) we often went to Cornwall for camping holidays in whatever vehicle was available, many times we had to reverse up steep hills because the engines were never powerful enough in 1st gear, and had to push on really steep hills.
