The major problem is something called greed.
It effects all who have any involvement in the matters mentioned.
As to waste and being created, why are the companies allowed to leave it that way?
But of course the economy rules the world now, not the concerns of the people.
This is now obvious when mines such as Adani in Queensland go ahead despite the screams against by the populous.
Money speaks many languages, and it has always been so and no doubt will continue as long as man walks on the face of the earth.
We the public are bombarded with comments and concepts from so many different sources it becomes hard tell truth from fiction now.
Maybe hide away on some small island with no news from the outside world, you would be better off.

Victoria, you may well be correct there.
With the way thing are now I doubt there is anywhere we can safely hide away.
