    Default Play it again

I am sure all of us have memories of music of our days, tunes and songs that played now bring back memories of our time at sea and ports and placers we have seen.
Music that stirs thoughts of a time long gone.

I have a number which for me continue to reignite thoughts of times past for various reasons.

One in particular sung by Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofason,
    'Sunday Morning Coming Down'

That was me on so many occasions, and at times still is, along with 'Wandering Star; by Lee Marvin from the musical 'Paint Your Wagon' it sums up my life.

    Or maybe
'Agh Pleeze Daddy' by Jeremy Taylor, reminds me of certain Shelia in Durban who raped me.

    What was yours?
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Now that was a lovely Memory ! Good old Durbs !

Yes there must be a few good songs that remind us of various times, but just for now when i saw the Title "Play it Again" reminded me instantly of one great Movie with Bogart and Bacall ,when it is quoted in the Movie "Play it again Sam" the wonderful Casablanca ! That place in itself should hold memories for some !

#2, are you sure it was Bacall, I thought it was Ingrid Berman in Casablanca, Bogart of course was once married to Bacall

Was thinking on the other good one as well Key Largo .
Bogart and Bacall only made 4 Movies Together and all of them good.

The quote “Play it again, Sam” is most likely a misquotation of the character of Rick Blaine to the character of the pianist Sam in the iconic 1942 film, Casablanca, when he said "Play it!".

Possibly, "play it again, Sam" may have originated in the 1946 Marx Brothers film A Night in Casablanca, or a corruption from the later Play It Again, Sam a 1972 American comedy film written by and starring Woody Allen.
