Now you bring back names Vernon, yes recall all of them.
There was a bar in Southampton high Street, Scullards if I recall.
You would see the Cunard Yanks in there.
Easy to spot, always had a one pound note tucked into the watch band.

Yep Scullards it was John, but that one we knew was the New one , as the old Scullards was gone by 1933

Main Street of Wellington NZ was Cuba street, used to call the Kiwis,Cuba street Poms, as they tried to emulate the blokes of the pommy ships. The girls knew the difference, the blokes never asked for fush and chups.
