You never walk alone
Read today in our paper here about the situation with the EPL.
There is confusion as to whether it should restart under strict conditions, or be abandoned with Liverpool declared the winner.
They are some 23 points clear of next team and only need one more win to secure it.
Would be maybe a bit tough on those in the relagation zone but they had their chance and blew it.
Do you think it should go ahead or stay as is with Liverpool the winners.?
Our Rugby and Footy leagues are still attempting to get some form of season going but with little success at present.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: You never walk alone
John being a Charlton supporter ,at the minute we are 3rd from bottom of the Championship. I agree Liverpool do have a good case to be crowned champions ,and being so far ahead should be.it wont effect any relegation or put any clubs down. But for the likes of Charlton only a couple of points from safety with 8-9 games still to go I think they should just all stay in the leagues there in and start afresh next season.

Re: You never walk alone
I say wash out the entire season. No winners or losers. Start fresh next season. Yes, I'm a BOURNEMOUTH fan and at this point, we are relegated only by goals difference. What, with a potential nine matches left, that could easily change. That bottom of the table has been an adventure all season long...

Re: You never walk alone
John, Mark, Bob, As an avid Liverpool F.C. Supporter there are all kinds of story's being bantered around on how the E.P.L. Can be drawn to a close L.F.C. As everyone knows where heading for the title that's not in doubt but you cant just give it to them and most supporters like myself don't want the side thought of as great pretenders i only hope they can work out how to conclude the footie season because as you rightly say it will suit some supporters in relegation spots and deprive other clubs of achievement's they have strived for, for, years both in Prestige and Financial reward. "The Poppies" could well have gone down this season but your not alone if you get away with it Mark take a look at all the divisions and predict who stays and who goes...………………. Not that easy mate Regards Terry.

Re: You never walk alone
Ok Ted lets hope that somehow the play the season out, maybe behind closed doors ,which seems pretty hard with the 2 metre distancing .unless they can get all players to take a test to prove they are not infected .which seems hard to do as well. So it might mean you have to wait another 30 yrs to win it again. I don't think they would be the known as the great pretenders being so far out in front .

Re: You never walk alone
You can't really go back to playing football when you've got social distancing, except maybe things like:
Golf, tennis etc.

Re: You never walk alone
It appears as if our Rugby and Footy may start up again with a limited season.
Played behind closed doors with only the TV coverage to be seen.
most say this is preferable to no season at all.
See no reason why the EPL could not be concluded in a similar fashion.

Re: You never walk alone
As a Saracens rugby fan I think we should start the season again, with the best team in the Premiership staying up Ha Ha. Seriously though I think LFC should be crowned champions without any relegation for those teams at the lower end, Hard for those topping the table in the Championship, but a decision must be made.
Cheers, Paul.
