    Default Tracking.

During the present lockdown it might be prudent to limit our outside activity. If the confinement is increased to TOTAL lockdown, the authorities will impose more severe measures. I read that Google, who already monitor our movements are prepared to share that information with any authority that might request that data. As we all know our mobile devices record where, when and for how long we are out and about. If restrictions increase there will be less outside activity allowed and government tracking may kick in and the risk of arrest may occur. We never venture far without our mobiles, and that's the risk. Myself I don't take mine with me now, even on short trips. Big Brother really is becoming a reality.

I do not care any more about big brother. I have no intention of breaking the rules as I support them for what they are aimed at, keeping outside social contact to a minimum thus halting the spread of the virus. If tracking catches the minority who insist in breaking the rules, then its OK by me. Some people just cannot see what is being done, is being done to save not only their lives but those of their loved ones and friends. If they are reckless and selfish enough to do that, then they deserve the punishment by law when caught.

Chris, Until we see some light at the end of the tunnel we really have no choice but to follow the advice, We all hope it wont go into months instead of weeks but i fear we are going to be well into the summer months before any normality returns, Terry.

They will have no problem tracking all these phone zombies; I have been sitting here watching the world go by my window, I have never seen so many out walking. At a guess I would say a good 95% of them are head down looking at their phones regardless of whether they are alone or with partner or kids, walking dogs, riding bikes even the window cleaner with ladders on his shoulder not looking where they are going.
What is more frustrating is the dog owners letting their animals use the grass verge outside my house, pretending not to notice as they are engrossed with their phones.
It is even more frustrating knowing that we are surrounded by fields with many public right of ways foot paths which go virtually unused.

That logic about if you do no wrong then you have nothing to worry about is just the ticket that they want. I still fight any restrictions to my personal freedom as many before me have. Why should I have to prove to any tom dick or harry who I am. Do you really think that the restrictions are ever going to reduce criminal activity. They bought in photo identification on our driver licence but would not use it as an Australia card years ago. Now it has become an Australia card. If you do not have one then you are requested to get a photo card as proof of who you are. Supermarkets have loyalty cards which track everything they want to know about your shopping habits. How long before we are all micro chipped at birth so that we can be turned into fecking robots.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

We keep getting our bills with, "Go paper free" pay by computer or what ever, WHY? I don't want all and sundry to know my details, I like to go to the post office and talk to the post people there, and get mail in my letter box few as the letters are, and I like to keep the postman in a job, plus I don't want to be one of those people who whines, "I have lost all my money to cheats on the net," not that I have any.
Here in NSW they are now talking of tracking people's mobiles who supposed to be self isolating, I suppose I would agree with that providing that when it is all over they stop, can anyone see a Govt doing that?

Police here in Victoria, we have the toughest lock down laws in the country, are knocking on the doors of those who should be self isolating.
Fines of between $1200 and $1600 depending on the situation.

Some people holding a dinner party at home were fined as some of the people did not live at that address.
Queensland has put concrete blockades across major roads leading into the state, WA has similar.

Tasmania has stopped all visitors to the island, but the big old jail is closed anyway so no where to lock you up if you do get in.

Only allowed to go shopping, work, medical appointments or exercise to be out of your home.
But if you own a holiday home you can go there????

Police will be monitoring our freeways over the Easter break asking people where they are going.

But the concern now of many is how many of these restrictions mat last long after the Virus is gone?

Some say this is nothing more than a 90 day introduction to socialism for the uninformed.
